Official Notice from JSC "Sense Bank" Regarding the Request of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board
On 6 May 2026, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Sense Bank", Mykola Hladyshenko, submitted, on his own initiative, a request to suspend himself from the exercise of the powers of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Sense Bank" for the period required to clarify all circumstances relating to the negative information about the Bank that has been circulated in the media.
"Yesterday, on 5 May, at the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on economic security, I responded in detail and truthfully to the questions of the Commission's members, and also expressed my openness to further engagement with the authorised bodies. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Sense Bank", I feel above all a sense of responsibility for the future of the state-owned bank and for the need to ensure its stable operation, particularly in the context of preparations for the forthcoming privatisation.
It is precisely for this reason, and in view of the public resonance of the situation, that I have taken the decision to suspend myself from the exercise of the powers of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Sense Bank" for the period required to clarify all circumstances.
I would like to reiterate that the Bank remains open to engagement with all stakeholders in order to bring the situation to clarity as swiftly as possible.
An extraordinary meeting of the Supervisory Board has just been held, during which my official request was accepted, and the exercise of the powers of Chairman of the Supervisory Board has been entrusted to Piotr Nowak," Mykola Hladyshenko stated.
Piotr Nowak joined the Supervisory Board of JSC "Sense Bank" in October 2025 as an independent member. Since March 2026, Piotr Nowak has served as a public advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. He has over 20 years of experience in banking, investment management, economic policy and corporate governance. He has held the position of Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland and Deputy Minister of Finance (Deputy Secretary of State), and has also worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
We note that JSC "Sense Bank", as one of the largest state-owned systemically important banks of Ukraine, continues to operate in accordance with the procedures established by law and with international best practices in corporate governance. All services of JSC "Sense Bank" are operating without changes and remain available to clients, ensuring the stable operation of the Bank.
